Note: Due to changes in the coding of death information, we are not currently putting data about fatal injuries by race/ethnicity and education data online.  If you need these data, please send an email to epic@cdph.ca.gov.  All other fatal injury variables as well as all hospitalized nonfatal data (including race/ethnicity) are available now.  These variables will be included in the update of the EPICenter.

About our data

EPIC's fatal injury data comes from California Death Statistical Master File and data about hospitalized nonfatal injuries comes from the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) patient discharge data.  From more information, see the EPICenter help area.
